Gary,

Great article! I missed the conference due to other obligations but wanted to go myself. It is so true people just don't focus on restoring Israel. But the church does need alot of restoration itself. So often I've heard people say we don't need to do more evangelism/ missions until we can get the present church properly discipled and restored itself. So wrong. Evangelism/ missions like intercession and worship are all part of discipleship because they're part of the works we're called to do. If we got our eyes off ourselves and turned them outward towards building the KIngdom we would rise up into our destiny and dicipleship would happen on a more productive scale as well. In the same way as you said the same would happen if some of that outward turning was done towards Israel. While some believe that we're all one in Christ so Christian Jews are just part of the church anyway, others strongly disagree and believe that restored Jews are altogether different. Spiritually and Biblically the first is correct. AS Paul tells us in Colossians 3:11 there is neither Greek nor Jew.....but Christ is all and in all. But although we're both connected to the same vine and become one in Christ there is in the natural much work to be done towards seeing Israel come into the light of knowing her true Messiah and seeing her restored and is part of the calling and destiny of every Christian to take an active part in prayer and ministry for that to happen. We're called to pray for the nations aaaand reach the nations but we're entering that time where the shift will happen where the time of the Gentiles will be fulfilled and God's focus will shift back primarily towards Israel coming into her destiny and we're all called to be part of that destiny.

Amen, Gary. True, and very well said. Keep up the great work.
